Here’s all the loot I got on my shopping spree with Jenn. I got such good deals.
3-17-09
Sprinkles made green velvet cupcakes to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. They were a must.
3-18-09
We went to Pappasito’s to celebrate Faith’s birthday early (it was half off fajitas night). She was so excited to have them sing to her. She kept singing their birthday song all during dinner. When they finally came over, she freaked out and dove onto my lap. She stood up when I said she could stand on me, but she still wasn’t happy about it. Afterwards she said it was the best birthday. Kids are so funny.
3-19-09
Aubree is getting so big. It seems like just a few days ago Denise was telling me that she was pregnant.
3-20-09
I practiced making cake pops for Faith’s upcoming tea party. They turned out pretty cute.
3-21-09
My seeds are finally planted, and I’m only about a month late. LOL

Nick gave me this balloon exactly one month ago for my birthday. It was still floating strong.
I’m not dead. We’ve just been really busy the past week. We hosted Faith’s 4th birthday party at our house yesterday. Itw was such a fun tea party! I’ll be posting pics soon. To get ready for the party, we worked on the house every evening. We painted the guest bedroom and bathroom.
My body finally gave into a sickness I have been fighting for two weeks now. I’m on meds and will hopefully feel back to normal soon. I’m really looking forward to Easter. The whole family is coming over! Most of them have never been to my house before. Hopefully it will be the first of many get togethers at our house!
We will also start hosting a small group at our home soon with Jenn and Jonathan. We stepped back from hosting a small group for awhile, and now that we have total control of what’s going on in our house we are ready to get back into it.
Teaching is going good, but I’m definitely hoping to move closer to home next year. The area and kids are tough. I spend most of my time on discipline and classroom management. I miss the actual teaching part. I went to a job fair for Plano on Saturday morning. Maybe a job lead will come from it. I’m now off to get things ready for tomorrow!
We watched Caitlyn and Faith last Thursday evening so Jenn and Jonathan could go to a meeting together. During dinner, Faith started telling stories. We knew that we needed to capture this moment.

I think she might be a writer some day or a comedian!
Here’s my funny story from our lunch at Maggiano’s a few weeks ago (keep in mind that Maggiano’s is a very nice, expensive place to eat). Nikhil is from India, and not all of the language terms carry over from American to India.
Let me set the stage. Ryan and Jonathan had been sharing YouTube videos one evening while were hanging out at their house. Ryan showed us this one because they both think it is so funny!
Well, that video leads to this video (note: do not play with small children around):
And so “jizz in my pants” has entered our venacular.
Well, the waiter brought out our beef medallions. Jonathan took one bite and said, “jizz in my pants” this is good. Nikhil pipes up very loudly, “What’s jizz?”
We all were mortified and told him to shoosh up and not say that anymore because it’s vulgar. Then he said, “OH, ok. I’ll just Google it then.”
We all screamed….Noooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!
is up. I can’t believe that it has been 10 weeks already! That’s 70 photos!
3-9-09
This really is a picture from yesterday, but I couldn’t decide between Garrett and Faith. Garrett is doing such a good job skating. He really enjoys playing hockey.
3-10-09
My kiddos started centers this week. I made this chart to help them know which center they were supposed to be at. Don’t you just love my teacher drawing? Charlie approves.
3-11-09
So much rain (and mud in my house)!
3-12-09
I got a new set of dishes for Christmas. This prompted me to decide to repaint my kitchen. I picked up tons of different colors because I also wanted to change the color in the office. One of the colors I had worked almost perfectly for the guest bedroom, so off to Home Depot I went.
3-13-09
This is better than when Santa comes. All of this new stuff for my classroom was purchased by the district (and not me!) My kids are going to be so excited when they get back from spring break.
3-14-09
Jenn and I saw this jug on sale (50% off) at Hobby Lobby. We could not resist. I can’t wait to see all the cool ways we used it.
3-15-09
Only a true friend would let you park something this ugly in front of your house for two days. Love you Jonathan, but I’m glad that it was gone soon after I took this photo!
What to let Jenn and Jonathan’s girls do while you are stuffing your face for two hours at Maggiano’s? Give them a camera and keep on shoveling the food in. Be watching for a very funny story from this meal coming soon!

Spring Break is turning out to be awesome! We got to spend a lot of time with our best friends Jenn and Jonathan over the weekend (and we were little girl free)! I love the girls, but it was nice to do some shopping without taking them along.
Speaking of shopping….Jenn and I went to Lakeshore Learning yesterday, and the stars must be in alignment. They had just received a shipment of clearance items from their warehouse. They said that they normally on get this two or three times a year. Oh the deals! I’ll post a pic on 365 soon of all my loot.
We also did some shopping on Saturday. We found the most perfect jug. Here’s what ours looks like, but it’s bigger and has a glass top. We decided that since Hobby Lobby had it on sale for fifty percent off, and we were going to share the cost, that we had to have it.
It’s beautiful and makes us both so happy! The possibilities of what we are going to put in here are endless. We spent time looking at it lovingly and discussing the possibilities. Our first use will be for Faith’s Tea Party birthday later this month. We will serve pink lemonade with lemon slices like those in the picture.
I was able finish the first coat of paint on the spare bedroom yesterday too. It is going to look so pretty. I’m kind of particular about paint colors, but I’ll post a more detailed explanation later this week about that. I always feel good when I am able to accomplish things on my to do list. Ryan and I will be working to get the house ready for Faith’s party, Easter get together, and a new church Life Group meeting at our house. I’m so excited.
The good energy continued into today. I had an appointment with my nephrologist (kidney doctor) this morning. In the summer of 2006 they found protein in my urine. That basically means that my kidneys were not doing their job. I went to several doctors with the prognosis possibly being lupus. A kidney biopsy found several areas of focal segmental glomerosclerosis (scar tissue formed in my kidneys).
They eventually ruled out lupus, and my course of action was to take medicine daily for my kidneys to help keep the scar tissue from spreading and keep my protein levels down. I would follow up with my nephrologist in November. My appointment has been rescheduled twice since then, so I finally went in this morning. He reviewed my lab work and said that everything looked good.
Then I told him that I had been out of medicine since November. He said that since my body was not producing protein even off of the medicine that, “You’re cured, and I [the doctor] didn’t have shit to do with it.” WOOHOO!
No more meds for me. I will have follow up blood work in 3 and 6 months. If nothing shows up then I can just have my regular physician check my levels yearly. This is great news, and I have been cleared for pregnancy (ironically I would have not been able to take the medicine anyways if I got pregnant)!
A great day and good God! I can’t wait to see what the rest of the week holds. I hope yours is just as good!
is up for your viewing pleasure.
